| My_Running | I'm a slogger, but I'm out there. I wake up at 4 to head out at 5 rain or shine, wind, snow, etc. I live in a residential, high traffic area where running during normal waking hours is not safe so that's why I am up so early. No one is out except me and the paper guy. I run mostly in the road because our sidewalks are quite hazardous and my daytime runs on the weekends are in the country with my dad for a change of pace, some sunlight, the bonding experience and my safety. |
| About_me | I hope to run a marathon this year. I race but I don't race to win. I race to see PBs. I race for good causes. I race for me. Many people don't believe I"m a runner. Being a Clydesdale, I don't fit the mold. But I'm working on it. I began running to lower my cholesterol. Smoking started to get in the way so I quit and am headed to a smoke free remainder of my life. Happy to say, the cholesterol has headed downward, drug free. I hope to become a better runner and surprise not only my friends, family and coworkers, but myself as well. I never thought I could follow through on anything and here I am! |
| Running_story | I got run over by a squirrel once. It darted out from under a fence head first into a tree, turned around and headed smack into my foot. The poor thing. |
| Comments | For anyone who thinks they can't run don't say can't until you've tried. You can if you're willing and able! |
